A wolf comes to offer his musical prayer to the spirits at this sacred pond.
I was feeling a little pressed with my artwork, because I really only had one piece up at the time, and so I found an old gesture drawing and turned it into a more defined, complete drawing.
With this piece I spent a lot of time playing around with hues and anatomy. I must have changed the leg and arms at least a hundred times before I finally finished it ha ha. In art, werewolf anatomy is extremely varied, and I guess it depends on one's style and external artistic influences.
The hardest thing about this piece I'd have to say was the bushes. Man, I had never really drawn foliage, and its extremely hard to draw and paint, because everything is extremely random. As humans, we have this inclined mental idea that everything has to be orderly, symmetrical, and perfect, so I had to learn to be a little more random in my art.
