Anthro / Traditional Media / Painting & Airbrushing

Winter is harsh in upper Michigan. This werewolf has come to this sacred grove, to ask for the blessings of the Great Mystery. The medicine totems signify the sacred medicine of the forest, and the turtle totems painted with animal blood on the werewolf's clothing symbolizes the healing properties of the medicine.

Well, here it is, my submission for the werewolf calender contest. I've learned so much while doing this piece. I gessoed the art board, prepped it, and used acrylics for the painting.

This piece is absolutely brilliant. The textures you used for the bark and the sky harmonize with the detail you used on the fur. And the colors are a nice blend of warm with just a perfect amount of grey to make it work. If anything, your art is right up there with Goldenwolf and the other equally as amazing artists.
